Not every move is a whole house
Apartments, condos, casitas, a storage unit or just the couch and the bed. You don’t need a full-house move to book us, and a small job still gets padding, wrap and a crew that knows how to get furniture down a staircase.
Apartment moves are mostly stairs, hallways and tight turns. We plan for them, protect the walls and railings on the way out, and set your furniture up at the new place.
“I first used them to help me move a fridge up an impossibly narrow stairway with a bend. They did such a great job I used them again.”

What counts as a small move
Studios & one-bedrooms
Apartments, condos and casitas, usually with stairs, hallways and a parking lot between the door and the truck.
A single room
A bedroom set, an office or a nursery, moved across town or to the next house over.
Storage units
Into a unit, out of one, or from a unit to your new home.
Student moves
In and out of student housing, including Southern Utah University moves up in Cedar City.
Apartment move checklist
- Ask about the elevator. Many buildings want it reserved, and some limit move hours.
- Find truck parking. Check where a box truck can stop at both buildings, and get a parking pass if you need one.
- Measure the big pieces. Couches and box springs against the doorways and stair turns at the new place.
- Tell the manager. Let both buildings know your move date so nobody is surprised by a truck in the lot.
- Keep keys and fobs handy. Gate codes, garage remotes and door fobs save the crew time on every trip.
Why hire movers for a small move?
A one-bedroom still has a couch, a mattress and a dresser that have to come down the stairs without dinging the walls or anyone’s back. Our crew brings the dollies, pads and plastic wrap, takes apart what won’t fit, and puts it back together at the new place. For a lot of small moves, the job is done in a morning.
Small move questions
Do you move just a few items?
Yes. Along with full homes we move single rooms, a few big pieces, or one appliance up a narrow staircase.
Can you move us out of an upstairs apartment?
Yes. Tell us the floor, whether there’s an elevator, and how far the truck can park from the door so we send the right crew.
I already rented a truck. Can you just load it?
Yes. We load and unload rental trucks, trailers and containers. See loading & unloading.
How do I get a price?
Call (435) 236-0234 or send the details through the quote form and we’ll follow up with an estimate.
Do you move students?
Yes. Tell us the building, floor and any move-in window your housing office gave you, and we’ll schedule around it.
