Moving to or from Parowan
Parowan is the Iron County seat, about 19 miles north of Cedar City along I-15 and right around 6,000 feet up. It’s a small town with real winters, and the jumping-off point for SR-143 up into the mountains.
From St. George it’s a little over an hour up I-15 to Parowan, past Cedar City. For most homes that’s a one-day move. Moves that keep going north to Beaver, Utah County or Salt Lake get a walkthrough first, like any long-distance move.
“They packed, dismantled our furniture, loaded the truck, drove it north, unloaded into the appropriate rooms in our new house, and reassembled the furniture. Nothing was lost or damaged.”

Before a Parowan move
Winter is real here
At about 6,000 feet, Parowan sees snow and ice that St. George never does. Between November and March, keep a backup date and clear paths before the crew arrives.
